Cavaliers are known as very friendly, gentle and loving dogs. They are especially good with children. Children should always be instructed how to handle  dogs, how to care for them and to be responsible for their needs.

A puppy is usually going to his new home at the age of 8 weeks and it is very important to supervise your children when playing with the puppy and to teach them to respect tired puppy. That would be the time to put puppy into his/her place and not to disturb his/her nap or quiet time.
